About Never Eat Shredded Wheat

Never Eat Shredded Wheat started as a joke, back in 2005 when I made the website for a friend's webcomic and decided to make a filler comic; which can be viewed here. I called it Never Eat Shredded Wheat because I had just eaten my breakfast (which is always Weetabix) and because the comic was about a carrot and some chopped tomatoes. I guess I was just feeling random, and remembered the little phrase I was taught as a child to remember the points on a compass.

They seemed to like the little sketch on the forum, so I made more sketches and whatnot like it until at some point I decided that I could wang them all on the internet and make a webcomic out of it (being a big fan of webcomics myself). Originally I just used the internet to put the comics up to make it easier to show people. It wasn't until July 2006 that with so many simple yet successful webcomics around, it wasn't a bad idea to make a bigger deal out of my own. So, here I am giving it to the world.

Most comics on this site are drawn, scanned, enhanced, cleaned and lettered by myself either on paper with a pencil and put into Paintshop Pro, or drawn straight into Photoshop via a graphics tablet. However, some of the comics will also be thought-up, drawn and scanned by Titch (because he actually has some artistic talent).

I don't think that there's much more for me to write about, so I'll stop. Maybe if I'm ever asked questions about it, and some questions are asked more frequently than others, I may make an FAQ section. But I think this is about it for now. Oh, and I think it's also necessary to mention that I am not discouraging the comsumption of Shredded Wheat. In fact, I encourage it. It's good for you. Eat up!
